What others have to say about REST Companion™ Respite Workers:

It is so wonderful to help somebody else, give them a break or just have a conversation, knowing it means so much to them. My clients keep saying, ‘Thank you.’ It fills my heart so much that I could be doing this. I get as much out of it as they do.
It has been really hard seeing my dad become so incapacitated. It takes a toll on you mentally and physically. Stressing about both my parents has impacted me from a distance – and I wasn’t living it like my mother was…I could hear the smile in my dad’s voice when he would tell me about his time with Christine. I could feel myself relaxing and smiling back on the other line.
We get along really well. I could listen to his stories all day. I’ m really happy to be part of Jack’s life.
Respite is so important because some days are more difficult than others. Family and friends can’t always help. I don’t know what I’d do without Shirley. She is an angel on earth.
I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels to have time to focus on my other kids without feeling guilty about leaving my son somewhere. Thank you for all your help and for the push to try to trust others to care for him.
I liked the whole training program. How it was presented, class participation, and the booklet to use for reference in the future.
What I liked best about the REST training was the group activities and personal stories that illustrate the principles we were learning.
